Corporate Citizenship ProgrammeSAS initiates Corporate
Citizenship Program in India - participates in
spreading happiness to children of “Shreevatsa, Child Care centre of
SOFOSH Our expenditure on Competency Development is almost 10% of our total
employee compensation, which has been the highest amongst 27 countries in
Europe, Middle East, Africa for the year 2003.
As part of this program, SAS recently reached to
‘Spread happiness and love for the children of, ‘Shreevatsa’, Child Care
Center of SOFOSH (The Society of Friends of Sassson Hospitals). Commenting on the occasion, said,Ms. Soumi Alphons, Head – Human Resources “At SAS, we strive towards creating healthy and
prosperous communities. SOFOSH provided the ideal platform for us to
initiate the SAS Corporate Citizenship Program in India and provide
opportunities for our employees to contribute towards it. We look forward
to building a strong and ongoing relationship with SOFOSH”. SAS encourages employees to volunteer for schools and nonprofit
organizations through the Employee Volunteer Fund (EVF). Offering cash
contribution to an organization along with consistent volunteerism support
offers the best of both worlds to the target community. Said Miratai Kodikal – Honorary Administrator and
Counsellor: “We are glad to be associated with SAS’ Corporate Citizenship
program in India. The immense support that we are getting towards
spreading happiness to the under privileged in society, especially from
the SAS employees, both in terms of monetary support and quality time with
