Dr. Radhika Kulkarni, Director, Management Science and Numerical Optimization, Analytical Solutions Division, SAS Institute Inc.

Dr. Radhika Kulkarni is Research and Development Director in the Analytical Solutions Division at SAS Institute, Inc. She oversees the development and enhancement of the optimization, scheduling, inventory optimization and matrix language development at SAS Institute.

Kulkarni has been with SAS for over 20 years achieving increasing levels of responsibility within the Analytical Solutions Division. Since her initial start date in 1983, she has continued to support the OR products. She is an active member in the Institute for Operations Research and Management Science, Project Management Institute, and the American Production and Inventory Control Society and has several professional publications and presentations to her credit. She represents SAS Institute on the INFORMS Roundtable.

Dr. Radhika Kulkarni has a Master’s in Mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology and a Master’s and Ph.D in Operations Research from Cornell University.

Dr.Hirji E. Nagarwalla, Director, Nagarwalla Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Ex. Member of the faculty of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, IIT-Bombay

Dr. Hirji E. Nagarwalla is the Director of Nagarwalla Consultants Pvt. Ltd. He has over 15 years of consulting experience in mathematical modelling and optimisation of supply chains. He has been catalytic in solving strategic, tactical and operational problems in supply-chain management, especially in the areas of Supply-chain-network design and optimisation, Production and distribution planning.

His rich clientele including companies like Agro Tech Foods Limited, BASF India Ltd., Castrol India Ltd., Ceat Ltd., Citibank, N.A., Dabur India Ltd., Heinz India Ltd., Hindustan Lever Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., to name a few are testimony of his immense knowledge in the areas of supply chain network design and optimisation.

Prior to undertaking independent consulting assignments, Prof. Nagarwalla was the Member of the faculty of Industrial Engineering & Operations Research, IIT-Bombay, India from 1982 to 1989. Turing his tenure at IIT-Bombay as Assistant Professor, he published numerous papers on Industrial Engineering & Operations Research.

Dr.Nagarwalla holds a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research and a B.Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT-Bombay. He is also been awarded with an MS degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA.
