Terms and conditions

Course Fees

Public course fees and length vary depending on the subject matter and type of course. View the course outline and schedule for details. Fees cover all course materials and computer time for lecture/workshop courses. Early registration is recommended because classes fill quickly.

Cancellation Policy

SAS reserves the right to cancel a course at any time without liability. In these circumstances, delegates will be offered an alternative date with location, but no refund is applicable once the course fee is paid.

SAS is not responsible for airline or hotel penalties related to the cancellation of SAS courses. Please be aware of the airline restrictions regarding non-refundable airline tickets when purchasing.

Substitutions (name changes) are accepted at least five (5) working days prior to the event, subject to the replacement delegate satisfying any required course pre-requisites. Please let SAS know with written note prior to the commencement of the course. Change can only be made once per course.

This policy applies unless otherwise stated.

*Only one reschedule is permitted per booking.

Group (Private) Courses

Unless otherwise agreed, a Group course will be confirmed and invoiced on receipt of the signed Group Training proposal. The signed Group Training proposal must be received by SAS no later than 30 working days prior to the scheduled start date of the course. Full payment for each event is due on terms of net thirty (30) days from issue of invoice.

Delegate Details
Group course fees are fixed for up to twelve delegates. Any reduction in delegate numbers will not be reflected in the course fee, but an increase in delegate numbers beyond twelve delegates will result in an increase to the course fee. A maximum capacity in private classroom style is 20 delegates. Delegate names must be supplied to the SAS Customer Care team via hkcrm@sas.com at least five (5) working days prior to the event commencement date.

Event Setup
For course held at the customer premises ("on-site" courses) subject to SAS prior written confirmation, the customer will provide all the necessary equipment as discussed with the Customer Care Team when booking the event.

Fee Policy

Public course fees must be paid in full prior to the course start date. If course fees are not paid on time, SAS reserves the right to allocate the course place to another delegate. SAS reserves the right to modify published course prices at its sole discretion and without prior notification.

Course fees do not include taxes. SAS Hong Kong will include all tax applicable to customer on the relevant invoice and customer agrees to pay such taxes to SAS.

Content Policy

SAS Education courses are reviewed, updated and improved continually, and SAS reserves the right to alter any of the course content without prior notice. It may not be possible to cover all course topics due to unforeseen circumstances, the Instructor will advise delegates when this is the case and may offer alternatives. Where necessary, the instructor will add appropriate, additional reading material.

Confidentiality Policy

The Customer will implement reasonable measures to prevent SAS' inadvertent access to confidential information. SAS agrees to use reasonable endeavors to prevent any confidential information received in connection with and related to the Event(s), which is clearly marked or designated at the time of disclosure as "Confidential", from being revealed to third parties for a period of three (3) years from the date of disclosure. This restriction does not apply to information which is known to SAS prior to receipt from the Customer: or revealed pursuant to court order or process of law. SAS will use reasonable disclosure. For the purposes of this clause, SAS’s parent company, SAS Institute Inc., shall not be deemed a “third party.” SAS privacy statement can be found at www.sas.com/privacy.html.

Copyright Policy

The course material is the exclusive copyrighted property of SAS. Course material includes course notes (training manuals), presentation slides and course data. None of the course material may be reproduced, republished, distributed, posted, sold, or transferred. SAS' copyright extends to all electronic or supplementary materials provided as part of a course. Course notes are available only for attendees and are provided on the first day of a course. Course notes are not available prior to the course.

Medical Leave

Prior to the commencement of any public course (exclusive for Business Knowledge Series courses), delegate is required to provide a valid medical proof (scanned copy is acceptable) within 5 working days in order to redeem the next scheduled course.

After the commencement of any public courses, delegate is not eligible to course redemption and attendance certificate.

Training Center Class Info

You can check in and pick up your course materials beginning at 9:00am. Classes start at 9:30am and end by 5:30pm each day. If the schedule is different, it will be noted on the Web as well as in your confirmation e-mail.

Photo ID: For security purposes, please be prepared to show a photo ID.
No recording devices: Recording devices, including video and audio, are not permitted in the classroom.
Cell phones: Students are asked to turn cell phones and pagers off or to set them to vibrate.
Children/guests: Attendees are not allowed to have children or guests accompany them in the training facility.
Room temperature: Classroom temperatures do fluctuate. Please bring a light jacket or sweater to ensure your comfort level.

SAS is a Tobacco/Alcohol-free company

Smoking or the use of smokeless tobacco products is prohibited in SAS Hong Kong office (under Section 3 and Schedule 2 of the amended Smoking (Public Health) Ordinance (Cap. 37)). Smoking is also prohibited at all third-party SAS facilities.

Alcohols are also restricted and will not be served during training hours.

Special Needs

If you have a disability requiring a reasonable accommodation, please send SAS a description (space is provided on the online registration form) of that accommodation along with your advance registration at least ten working days before the course begins. We will make our effort to cater your needs.

Weather Arrangement

When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 (or above) or the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, the following arrangements will apply;

  • For class not yet started - If either of the warnings is hoisted and in force at or after 7:00am, the class on that day will be cancelled and re-scheduled. Otherwise, the class will be held as scheduled.
  • For class already started - When Tropical Storm Warning Signal No. 8 (or above) is hoisted, the class will be suspended immediately. When Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted, the class will continue.

Class Attendance

For each scheduled course, a minimum attendance of 75% is required for the delegate to be eligible to receive an attendance certificate.
