Steven Pinchuk, SAS 's Vice President of Profits Optimization Systems, interviewed with Hong Kong Economic Times on April 22, 2009. He pointed out "Under global economic downturn, hospitality industry is facing the challenges of cost reduction and revenue maximization while keeping the high-quality customer services. Revenue management and Customer Intelligence become more important to hospitality/entertainement business "

He said "With the use of Analytics Technologies, casinos/hotels can formulate customer-centric prcing strategy , provide customized marketing offers and make demand forecasting based on customers consumption data analysis; He also quoted "One of our SAS customers - Harrah's Entertainment, it recorded a significant revenue growth and customer loyalty improvement after deploying SAS® Customer Intelligence."

At the end of the interview, Pinchuk concluded "There are lots of enterprises applying business analytics which have been integrating customer data analysis, sales and marketing systems into a single platform in order to speed up business effectiveness."
