Hong Kong, (28 Feb, 2007)- SAS
Institute, the global market leader in business intelligence
software and services, announced the appointment of Alex Wong as
its president for Greater China and Errol Chan as its chief
operating officer for Hong Kong.
Alex Wong joined SAS in January 2007 with 27 years of management
experience in the technology industry in Asia and especially in
Greater China. In his new role, Wong will be responsible for
strategic planning, business development and operational
oversight at SAS Greater China, which includes Hong Kong and
mainland China. Prior to joining SAS, Wong held senior positions
including chief executive officer at Pansky Technology Group,
president for China at EDS, and president for China at Unisys .
Errol Chan joined SAS in February 2007 with more than 25 years
of sales and management experience in the technology industry in
Hong Kong and South China. In his new role, Chan will be
responsible for managing the operations of the Hong Kong office
including overseeing SAS professional services, and sales and
marketing activities in Hong Kong. Prior to joining SAS, Chan
was country manager of Hong Kong, Macau and the Philippines at
Secure Computing Corporation. Chan gained extensive management
experience at Cisco Systems and was the general manager for Hong
Kong in 1998.
