SAS Hong Kong Awarded as The Caring Company 2003/2004 by HKCSS

The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) launched the "Caring Company Scheme in 2003 to promote corporate social responsibility by bridging private and social service sector in strategic partnership. The Caring Company Scheme is entering into its second year; it has become a strong, cohesive and sustainable platform for individuals, companies and organizations to join hands to build a more caring society.  In 2004, there are 493 companies being awarded the Caring Company logo by HKCSS, almost double that of last year. SAS Hong Kong is honored to be awarded as one of the caring companies. The Hon Tung Chee Hwa officiated at the Recognition Ceremony held on Feburary 3, 2004 at The InterContinental Hotel Hong Kong, commending those caring companies and presenting awards.    Peter Tsang, Managing Director of SAS Hong Kong received the caring company award presented by The Hon Bernard Chan, Chairperson, HKCSS The Caring Company Logo has been awarded to SAS Hong Kong, which self declare that the company itself has satisfied at least two out of the six criteria of the Caring Company Scheme, and run business that is ethically sound and legally clean. The six criteria include: Volunteering :Encourage and support employee volunteering Family-Friendly: Provide a family-friendly and gender sensitive environment for employees Employing the Vulnerable: Be willing to employ vulnerable groups Partnering: Develop partnership projects with the social service sector Mentoring: Share business expertise with social service organizations Giving : Donate or give in kind to the community SAS Hong Kong would like to take this opportunity to thank The Hong Kong Family Welfare Service who is our close partner of social service sector for nominating SAS for the 2003/2004 caring company award. We hope to continue such good relationship as well as extending our partnership with other social service units for jointly building the good caring community spirit and making contributions to the Hong Kong community.
