Users Group activities in Vancouver began in 2003, but it wasn’t until shortly after the meeting in the fall of 2006 that the Vancouver executive team meeting was formed, as a result of a request by SAS for more input and involvement from local users. The users group meets twice a year, typically in May/June and then again in October/November.

The meetings are attended by a variety of users representing industries such as health, insurance, utilities and education. Our most recent meeting included presentations on SAS Stored Processes, SAS Enterprise Guide®, PROC REPORT and also a report on SAS Global Forum 2007. Because the spring meeting was the first opportunity for the Vancouver executive team to become involved, some time was spent polling the users to gauge interest in a number of topics to be considered for future meetings. The results will help the group to ensure future presentations are closely aligned with the interests of our users.
