Centennial College collaborates with SAS to offer new Marketing Research and Analytics Program

Rapid growth and demand for an analytically savvy workforce fuels the need for Canada's first analytics graduate certificate program

Toronto, ON  (30 Aug. 2011)  – Centennial College, in collaboration with SAS Canada, the leader in business analytics, today announced Canada's first graduate certificate program in marketing research and analytics.

Responding to market demand, Centennial College's program advisory committee recognized the need for a program specifically designed to address those students looking for a career in the fast-growing world of business analytics. Students will graduate with a deep understanding of data analysis and will be well positioned to help businesses harness Big Data and turn it into valuable insights, which lead to better business decisions.

"This program will educate a new cadre of professionals with the analytics skills needed to lead organizations forward,” said Michael Vourakes, Dean, School of Business at Centennial. “The demand for analytically savvy graduates is at the top of the list of Canadian business needs. We are delighted to be working with SAS, continuing its long history and deep commitment to innovation in higher education."

The one-year program will give graduates the skills needed to analyze and interpret industry trends and customer behavior. These tools will prepare graduates for work in marketing research firms, in-house analysis and research positions, corporate loyalty programs, direct marketing firms, as well as leading organizations' mobile marketing and e-marketing efforts.
