SAS on Computerworld 2012 Best Places to Work in IT list

Analytics leader provides challenging work and great benefits

CARY, NC  (18 Jun. 2012)  – SAS was again cited for creating a challenging work environment for IT staff alongside great benefits and compensation. The leader in business analytics software and services was again named to Computerworld magazine's Best Places to Work in IT list.

"Our employee-manager relationships are built on trust – across all levels and divisions. When employees feel valued, they exceed expectations. Not only are our employees the source of SAS' business success, they help make it a great place to work," said Keith Collins, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for SAS. "Treating employees with respect fosters the environment of innovation and creativity that surfaces in our products and distinguishes us to our customers."

RENOWNED corporate culture

This philosophy earned SAS the No. 3 ranking on the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For list in 2012. SAS attracts the best talent in the industry by bolstering the thrill of challenging work with employee-friendly benefits. Among the many on-site amenities are health care, recreational facilities, child care and work-life resources. Believing that happy, healthy employees are productive employees, SAS offers a wide range of programs that reduce stress and distraction, so employees can focus on their work – tangible evidence of integrating company values with employee needs.

"The organizations on this year's Best Places to Work in IT list consistently seek out and hire the most talented IT people, offer them competitive pay and provide great benefits," said Scot Finnie, Editor in Chief of Computerworld. "Many of these organizations have spent years building top-notch IT workplaces, and we applaud the amazing work they've done to sustain dynamic environments where IT professionals can work with the latest technologies and play a key role in business-critical projects."

Computerworld's annual feature bases its ranking of the top 100 work environments for technology professionals on a comprehensive questionnaire regarding company offerings. Categories include benefits, diversity, career development, training and retention. SAS was again in the top 15, ranked at No. 14.
