Usage & Operating Systems

Level Usage (How can the software be used?)

The software shall be used for classroom instruction or research directly related to classroom instruction for the post-secondary, degree-granting institution. The institution can distribute software internally to the students and faculty members. The software can also be used for the general operation of the institution or affiliate.  However, students, faculty members and staff of the degree-granting institution or affiliate cannot use the Software for commercial purposes.

Platforms/Operating Systems (What operating systems are contained in each platform category?)

The operating systems included in the PC Platform are:
Windows (Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT Workstations) OS/2 and MAC OS

The operating systems included in the Server Platform are:
Windows NT Server, Sun Solaris, IBM, AIXR, HP HPU8, OpenVMS Alpha, Digital Unix, MIPS ABI - SGI Only Version 8, ABI+ for Intel Architecture and LINUX

The operating systems included in the Midrange Platform are:
OpenVMS Alpha and OpenVMS VAX

The operating systems included in the Mainframe Platform are:
MVS and CMS

The Operating Systems included in any platform are subject to change based on the Institute’s then current support for these operating systems.
