What would you like to know?

Here's a list of frequently asked questions to help make our application process a positive experience for you.

What does it take to get a job at SAS?

Innovation. Technical prowess. Creativity. A passion for our products.
Think you have what it takes? Check out our positions at sas.com/careers. Make sure your resume reflects what is needed in the posting.

How can I learn SAS now?

SAS® Analytics U helps teachers, professors, students, academic researchers and independent learners get started with free access to basic analytics and statistics right on your computer. Free video tutorials teach you the basics of SAS programming and statistical analysis. And there’s even an interactive online community where you’ll find forums and software support.

Can I come on campus to visit?

While we would love to share our gorgeous campus with everyone, it’s not open to the public for the security and protection of our employees.

How do I apply?

From the job posting, click on "Apply Online". It’s the grey box on the top left side above the posting. It won’t take long!

Do I meet the qualifications?

It’s hard to say; each job is unique. The Essential and Additional qualifications are "must haves". If you don’t have everything that is listed there, you may not be considered qualified for the position. It’s very important to ensure your resume reflects all of your experience.

What is your interview process?

For most positions, we begin the process with a phone interview. If there's interest on both sides, we then invite you for an on-site interview or additional phone interviews (depends on location), typically with the hiring manager and several teammates. Teams are unique and may have their own variation of the interview process.

Can I talk with a hiring manager?

The hiring manager will reach out to you if additional information is needed. Be sure to include all relevant details on your submitted resume and cover letter.

What is the status of my application?

Thank you for your interest in SAS! Since we review every resume, it may take us a while to get through the stack. We’re looking for a great fit, and if your resume is selected for the next step (usually a phone interview), we’ll contact you directly.

How do I update my profile with a new resume?

From the US jobs or international jobs search page, click on “Access my profile” on the right side of the page. If you have not already signed into the SAS Talent Network, you will be prompted to do so. In the “General Profile” section at the top of the page, click on “Resume.” Proceed with the outlined steps on the page to upload a new resume to your profile. The option of uploading a new resume is also available any time you apply for a new position via the online system.

I represent an external recruiting agency. Who can I talk to about our services?

Thank you for your interest in assisting SAS with our hiring needs. However, our on-staff resources are successful in meeting our hiring goals. Thank you.
