SAS® OnDemand for Professional Education builds SAS® expertise for lessHosted environment will help users improve high-demand SAS skills, prepare for certificationSAS GLOBAL FORUM, WASHINGTON (Mar. 23, 2009) – The need for talented people to glean critical insight from massive data stores is at an all-time high. SAS® experts excel at such highly valued skills. To help SAS users improve their knowledge, increase their marketability and prepare for SAS certification, the business analytics leader will launch SAS OnDemand for Professional Education. The solution includes industry-leading data integration, reporting, predictive analytics and business forecasting technologies. With easy access to powerful applications such as SAS® Enterprise Guide ® and SAS® Enterprise Miner™, users can learn to organize and manipulate even the messiest data, leverage a wide variety of statistical methods, and create eye-catching reports and graphics to share results. Coupled with SAS’ Self-Paced eLearning to complement training or with SAS Press publications for self-study, the new offering lets users enhance data analytics skills at their own pace, on their own PCs. “Job competition is fierce. Adding SAS to your skill set gives you an advantage,” said Sean Gargan, Director, SAS Publishing. “SAS OnDemand for Professional Education is an affordable and simple way to access the power of SAS when and how it’s best for each SAS user.” SAS OnDemand for Professional Education will undergo an early-adoption phase before entering general US availability next year. Ultimately, it will replace SAS Learning Edition. Users of that version will receive support through the remainder of their contracts. “Moving to a hosted environment eliminates CDs and packaging, which supports SAS’ commitment to becoming a greener company,” said Gargan. SAS OnDemand for Professional Education was announced at SAS Global Forum, the world’s largest gathering of SAS users, attended by more than 3,000 business and IT users of SAS software and solutions.
