SAS celebrates 15 years in Hartford, CT
HARTFORD, CT (Jul. 08, 2010) – SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, is celebrating 15 years in its Hartford, CT, office. Opened in June 1995, SAS’ Hartford office primarily functions as a regional sales office with many major insurance companies as its customers.
Since its opening, the Hartford office has more than doubled its number of employees and increased the solutions and services it offers to businesses based in the Northeast. SAS CEO Jim Goodnight attended the grand opening event, which also included a keynote address by the editor-in-chief of PC Week and a ribbon-cutting by Connecticut Lt. Gov. Jodi Rell, now the current governor.
“It’s amazing to think of all the changes that the SAS Hartford office has undergone since I started here on the first day it opened,” said Dwight Fowler, Director of SAS Pre-Sales Support. “We’ve expanded beyond just being a sales office to having the resources and facilities needed to provide training for our internal staff as well as regional customers. It has been wonderful to have my career grow along with the company, and I look forward to many more years here.”
“The SAS office in Hartford has been, and continues to be, a great place to work,” added Linda Kestenbaum, a SAS office administrator who has worked at the Hartford office for 10 years. “We have great people who support one another and treat each other like family. Our newly renovated office is gorgeous, and our customers love coming here. When you walk in the door, you know you’re at a company that not only values its employees, but also its customers and wants to see both succeed.”
At the end of this month, the Hartford office will invite other employees from home offices in the region to a luncheon event to mark the 15th anniversary of SAS’ Hartford opening.
