SAS again named one of the Best Companies to Work For by The Sunday Times
LONDON (Mar. 07, 2011) – SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, has been honored as one of the Top 100 Best Companies to Work For 2011 by The Sunday Times. This award follows SAS being named No.1 in FORTUNE magazine's annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" list for the second year running in January 2011. This is the fifth time that SAS has made The Sunday Times list and emphasises the importance that the company places on its employees and providing them with the best possible working environment.
This year, SAS jumps to number 65 and retains its "First Class" company status for consistent commitment to its employees and the work-life programs it offers. SAS was highly praised for its altruistic outlook; its efforts in protecting the environment and supporting charities and local communities helped it to rank in the top 20 for the "Giving something back" category. SAS was also commended in the "My company" category. Its employees are proud to work for SAS and feel they can make a real difference to the company; an incredible 78 percent of employees say they "love working for SAS."
Ian Manocha, managing director of SAS UK and Ireland, commented; "We're all delighted with this accolade and the improvement of 26 places compared to last year’s ranking of 91. With the competition continuing to be stiff, we are thrilled to be the only software company to make it into the Top 100. This reflects the vibrant culture at SAS, in which people can thrive and be challenged, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I'd like to thank all our employees for this success. We are lucky to have such talented, passionate and engaged people in our business, and I'm really proud of what we have achieved together."
