SAS earns Green Award from Triangle Business JournalSolar Farm, Green Building, Water Conservation and Recycling Efforts HighlightedCARY, NC (Oct. 29, 2009) – SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, has been recognized among companies that have embraced environmentally friendly and sustainable “green” practices and incorporated them into their business and in their communities. The Green For-Profit Business award from the Triangle Business Journal Green Awards was presented to SAS on Oct. 23. “SAS has a history of investing for the long term. We recognize that environmental sustainability is a continuous effort that requires prudent use and preservation of our natural resources,” said Jerry Williams, SAS Environmental Sustainability Program Manager. “SAS offices around the world are taking steps to minimize our environmental impact.” Triangle Business Journal honored 18 other individuals, businesses and community organizations with its 2009 Green Awards. Winners were chosen by a panel of judges based on nominations submitted to Triangle Business Journal.
