SAS-sponsored forum drives value for all business functions, industries
Coming to Atlanta: collaborative event helps craft remedies for attendees' specific headaches
CARY, NC (Oct. 13, 2011) – Business leaders at a recent SAS-sponsored collaborative forum had no trouble identifying their biggest challenges: business alignment with IT; developing an analytic culture; business value creation; burgeoning data; resource management; complexity and more.
After hours of interaction with peers and industry thought leaders, attendees departed with research reports, a summary and a highly visual snapshot of the session's key conclusions.
The SAS Power Series, presented by the leader in business analytics, comes to Atlanta Oct. 20. Registration is open for qualified IT or functional-area executives and managers interested in how analytics improves business results.
"The Power Series was extremely valuable," said Bruce Bedford, Vice President of Marketing Analytics and Consumer Insight at Oberweis Dairy. "The best part was the interactive group sessions: everyone listed specific challenges in their businesses and we visually worked out solutions. Nothing was generic – everyone came away with insights specific to the issues they cited."
The Atlanta SAS Power Series session includes:
The creative approach used in the forum has been adopted by conferences such as the World Economic Forum in Davos because it encourages an explosion of ideas and solutions – and gets results.
"The Power Series lets people from a variety of companies share their experiences, successes and challenges as they look to the power of analytics to drive success in their businesses," said Jim Davis, SAS Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President and a speaker at past Power Series events.
"Most Power Series audiences grasp the business value of analytics," Davis said. "But many find it challenging to communicate and prove that value to their organizations. In the collaboration segment of the event, attendees share useful and creative strategies to overcome that challenge."
While many of the Power Series sessions in other cities have been fully booked, a few spaces remain open for qualified attendees. Please click here to see if a seat is available.
