SAS named ‘Great Place to Work’ in Belgium

TERVUREN, Belgium  (Apr. 07, 2009)  –  Business analytics leader SAS has been rated No.2 on the Best Places to Work in Belgium 2009 survey, conducted annually by the Great Place to Work Institute. SAS participated in the survey’s general category, for companies with under 500 employees. 

Companies are selected for the list primarily based on employee responses to the Great Place to Work Trust Index , a proprietary employee survey developed by the Great Place to Work Institute. The Belgian survey is an initiative of Vlerick’s HRM Centre in collaboration with the Great Place to Work Institute Europe. 

"Taking care of employees is a large part of SAS’ culture,” says Patrick Van Deven, Country Manager of SAS Belgium and Luxembourg. “Compared to last year, we made a great jump to second place, which clearly shows that we utilized feedback from 2008 results. That gives us even more reason to be proud.”

SAS regularly takes part in Great Place to Work surveys across Europe as well as the United States and invariably does well in all of them. Recently, FORTUNE magazine listed SAS for the 12th consecutive time in its annual list of 100 Best Companies to Work For.
