SAS places 3rd among IT/Telecom companies and 12th on “100 Best Companies to Work For” list in Brazil 

CARY, NC  (Sep. 02, 2010)  –  Based largely on the all-important employee opinion survey, SAS Brazil has earned the twelfth spot in the Brazil ranking of “100 Best Companies to Work For” from the Great Places to Work Institute (GPTW). From among 774 applications, 100 companies were selected for the final list.

"I am thrilled that, as we strive to achieve our goals and those of our customers, we do so in an environment that is satisfying to all of us," remarked Márcio Dobal, General Manager for SAS Latin America South. Dobal accepted the award at the Great Place to Work Brazil ceremony on August 16 in São Paulo. 

The result reflected the pride and the sense of recognition employees feel in being part of the SAS team. "I would like to thank all employees for helping us achieve this ranking, which we also attribute to our highly professional staff," said Ednalva Costa, Latin America South Finance and HR Director, during a celebration lunch the following day. All employees received the GPTW 100 Best Companies to Work For Guide and a small bottle of champagne with a SAS logo to take home and celebrate with their families.  

Special Recognition

In late July, SAS Brazil was selected the third best company to work for among IT and Telecom companies. In addition, SAS Brazil received special recognition as the Best Company in the category of “Inspire, Speak and Listen”.
