SAS again named one of The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For
SAS wins special award for Innovation in Engagement Practices, short-listed for Wellbeing award
London UK (Mar. 04, 2013) – SAS, the leader in business analytics software and services, has been recognised again as one of the Top 100 Best Companies to Work For 2012 by The Sunday Times, ranking 29th. SAS was also awarded The Sunday Times special award for Innovation in Engagement Practices, as well as being short-listed for the Wellbeing special award.
The judges of the Innovation in Engagement Practices award highlighted SAS’ innovative and creative approach to employee engagement, including the 'SAS Pageant' where employees worked with professional actors to perform the story of the historic Wittington Estate where the company is based. The Wellbeing award recognises organisations which provide the most supportive working environment with emphasis on relieving stress and improving work/life balance.
The employee survey undertaken which contributes to the ranking, revealed that 86 per cent of staff feel proud to work for SAS and 85 per cent feel they can make a valuable contribution to the company's success. In addition 79 per cent would not leave SAS even if they were offered another job.
This award comes hot on the heels of SAS being ranked number two in FORTUNE magazine's annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" list. This is the seventh time that SAS has made The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For list, highlighting its ongoing commitment to employee satisfaction and workplace engagement.
Mark Wilkinson, managing director, SAS UK and Ireland, comments; "It's fantastic to be named one of the Best Companies to Work For again, and winning the Innovation in Engagement Practices award is the icing on the cake.
