LISBON  (Mar. 21, 2011)  – In 2011, SAS Portugal once again participated in two highly regarded surveys for assessing the best companies to work for.

The studies were conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute® and by the Portuguese business magazine  EXAME. Both studies analyze the local employment market.

For the ninth year in a row SAS Portugal was recognized by Great Place to Work Institute as one of the best companies to work for.  The U.S.-based business analytics software company placed 11th in the category of “companies under 100 employees” and 20th among the top 30 referenced in the global ranking.

In the EXAME magazine study, SAS achieved the 16th position in a global ranking of 100 companies – second among software companies. SAS was also recognized as #1  “Company with the Best Work/life balance practices.”

"We are especially proud of this year's recognition makes of the work we are doing. "We have participated in surveys like these Since 2002, and have been consistently named among the best employers.
