SAS and Central Access together to support K-12 administrationHosted data warehouse plus student information systems add up to powerful resourceCARY, NC & RIDGELAND, MS (Jun. 18, 2009) – SAS’ Education Practice has entered into an Ambassador agreement with Central Access Corp. to support improved information resources for K-12 administrators, while enhancing marketing and development opportunities for both companies. Central Access Corp. of Ridgeland, Mississippi, which has served the state’s schools for more than 50 years, focuses on technology systems supporting school finances and student information. SAS’ offerings within the education industry include a powerful and interrelated suite of solutions and services, including curriculum resources for grades 8-12, higher education teaching and research software, schooling-effectiveness technologies and administrative solutions. SAS is the leader in business analytics software and services, and the largest independent vendor in the business intelligence market. SAS envisions working with Central Access to enhance hosted offerings such as SAS® OnDemand for K-12, a solution enabling school administrators to make data-driven decisions across their districts. SAS OnDemand for K-12 includes access to SAS’ industry-leading data warehousing and integration software, which is capable of handling the enormous amounts of data generated by school districts. SAS’ Education Practice has worked with Central Access Corp. on a test case in Mississippi that has yielded operable knowledge for one school system. “In formalizing our relationship with Central Access Corporation, we hope to further enhance our development efforts, and be ready to work with more schools in Mississippi in reaching their goals with data-driven decision making,” said Armistead Sapp, head of SAS’ Education Practice.
