SAS named top Belgian employer for 2011 in recognition of outstanding performance in the field of human resourcesCARY, NC (Feb. 24, 2011) – Following independent research by the CRF Institute, specialist in international research into employment conditions, SAS has been included among Belgium's Top Employers 2011. This certificate is awarded only to employers that meet a strict set of criteria for inclusion. SAS is one of 43 organizations certified by the CRF Institute this year. CRF Institute research observed that SAS demonstrates a high level of care for its employees,.offering talented young employees excellent employment terms and outstanding opportunities for training and education. "The Top Employers 2011 certificate is critically important for SAS," says SAS Belgium HR Manager Els Brusselmans. "It confirms yet again that our HR strategy and corporate culture are successful. By continuously thinking in terms of the human potential of our employees, sharing knowledge, providing education and creating opportunities for people to discover and develop new competencies, we are ensuring that employees feel connected and remain loyal. And ultimately, that results in the best possible service for our customers!" Each organization that was examined faced a thorough analysis of HR policy. Specific criteria for the areas of employment terms and employee benefits included training and development, carreer opportunities and organizational culture. SAS met all of the strict criteria to earn this year's Top Employer label. According to Ruud van Es, Country Manager Benelux at Top Employers, "Our examination gives organizations an opportunity to scruitinize their own policies. It is a tried-and-tested advantage in attracting and holding on to staff. In particular, young, highly trained professionals see the certificate as proof that an employer is worth working for. Consequently, it is an important factor in their consideration of a future workplace." It is noteworthy that in today's atmosphere of cost cutting, talent management takes the top spot among the priorities of certified companies. As the average age of current staff increases, employers hope to entice talented employees to stay with them, and therefore offer a range of possibilities for individual development. Additionally, more and more Top Employers encourage the phenomenon of 'the new way to work'.
