SAS outpaces competitors in “Business Performance” for manufacturingManufacturing Business Technology magazine gives SAS high marks in its annual ‘Global 100’ rankingsCARY, NC (Aug. 30, 2007) – Manufacturing Business Technology magazine once again has named SAS, the leader in business intelligence, to its annual “Global 100” rankings. In the Business Performance category, SAS ranked No. 6, outperforming competitors Business Objects, Cognos, Informatica and MicroStrategy. Manufacturing Business Technology compiles the rankings starting with each entrant’s most recent annual revenue figure. Additional research narrows the field, and the resulting companies are broken into categories by specialty. The finished ranking is what Manufacturing Business Technology calls “a snapshot of the most progressive and compelling areas within manufacturing IT markets.” “This year’s ‘Global 100’ list represents the best and brightest software vendors targeting the manufacturing industry,” said Kevin Parker, Manufacturing Business Technology Editorial Director. “SAS is one of the few privately held software companies on the list. SAS’ stability and strength in the manufacturing arena proves the company is capable of competing with even the largest publicly traded vendors. We also applaud SAS’ efforts in establishing the value of business intelligence in the manufacturing environment.” “We are honored to be recognized by Manufacturing Business Technology,” said Thomas Roehm, Senior Business Director of the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Global Practice for SAS. “Our customers appreciate the fact that SAS offers comprehensive solutions such as SAS® Warranty Analysis, the SAS Service Intelligence suite and the SAS Supplier Relationship Management suite to help manufacturers enhance performance.” To view the July 2007 issue of Manufacturing Business Technology, visit: http://www.mbtmag.com/article/CA6459580.html.
