International conference unveils latest in knowledge discovery and data mining

Fairmont Hotel in San Jose will host 13th ACM SIGKDD

CARY, NC  (Aug. 06, 2007)  –  Promoting innovation made possible through predictive analytics, SAS, the leader in business intelligence, announced the upcoming ACM SIGKDD conference also known as KDD. For the 13th year, attendees will gather for keynote speakers, paper and poster presentations, workshops, tutorials, panels, and the KDD Cup competition at the International Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining. 

The conference takes place Aug. 12-15 in the heart of Silicon Valley and provides a forum for developers and practitioners within the data mining user community to share their research and experience across academia, industry and government. Sunday’s preconference activities include a case study competition – one will highlight SAS® text mining applications in the medical life sciences area – as well as tutorials and award recognition ceremonies.
