Pearson Education to Include JMP® Student Edition with Selected Statistics TextbooksInteractive software helps higher education students learn and enjoy statisticsCARY, NC (Jul. 09, 2007) – SAS, the leader in business intelligence and advanced analytics, today announced an agreement with Pearson Education, Inc. to bundle JMP Student Edition with leading statistics textbooks published by Pearson’s Prentice Hall and Addison Wesley publishing companies. JMP Student Edition, a streamlined version of JMP statistical discovery software, is interactive graphical software that contains all the statistics covered in first-year and intermediate college statistics courses. By selecting textbooks that bundle JMP Student Edition, professors enable students to install, on their personal computers, software that will help them learn statistics. The bundles, which include a single-user license to JMP Student Edition, will be sold exclusively through college bookstores. “JMP Student Edition offers an intuitive interface that mirrors the applied real-world approach of modern courses,” says Curt Hinrichs, JMP Academic Program Manager. “By bundling this technology with their popular titles, Pearson supports the current generation of students who expect to learn interactively.” Pearson offers hundreds of statistics titles and is a leading publisher of introductory statistics books.
