SAS and Export Development Canada win 2005 TDWI Best Practices AwardExport Development Canada excels with data warehouse powered by SAS®LISBON, PORTUGAL (June 22, 2005) – SAS, the leader in business intelligence, today announced that Export Development Canada (EDC) has won The Data Warehousing Institute’s (TDWI) prestigious 2005 Best Practices Award in the Enterprise Data Warehousing category. EDC is Canada’s only financial institution devoted exclusively to supporting Canadian exporters and investors, and is guided by a federal mandate to support and develop the country’s trade and international business opportunities. “Winning this award with EDC validates the powerful capabilities SAS® technology can bring to an enterprise,” said Dr. Jim Goodnight, CEO and founder of SAS. “By using SAS, EDC was able to make its data work for them, turning it into valuable information that could easily be accessed at the right time by its users – from any employee to its board of directors.
