Used by thousands of educators in more than 30 states, SAS Curriculum Pathways is an online resource for students and teachers in high schools, community colleges, virtual schools and in the home. This versatility, and the product’s easy access and online training, make it an ideal resource for any learning environment. “We are removing barriers between learners and SAS Curriculum Pathways in every possible market,” said Bruce Friend, Director, SAS Curriculum Pathways. “With a low price, online payment options and instructional demos, the more than 1.1 million home schoolers in the US could be up and running with powerful resources in a short time.” Primarily for students in grades 8-12, SAS Curriculum Pathways provides content in the core disciplines of English, mathematics, social studies, science and Spanish. Aligned with state and national standards, it has more than 200 InterActivities and 855 ready-to-use lessons that enable technology-rich instruction and engage higher-order thinking skills. Perfect for non-traditional learning environments, users can access SAS Curriculum Pathways from anywhere with a computer and Internet access. It is used by many virtual school programs as part of their online course content, including Florida Virtual School, the country’s first statewide Internet-based public high school, where more than 57,000 students have access. It is also used in 1:1 computing learning environments such as Centennial Middle School in Raleigh, NC and Hunt High School in Wilson, NC. Training options for home-school teachers include online tutorials, Web seminars and bimonthly, hour-long, virtual “open houses” hosted by SAS Curriculum Pathways staff. Once enrolled, home-school subscribers receive the same level of technical support as traditional schools. Home school subscriptions include one year of full access to SAS Curriculum Pathways. Renewable on a yearly basis, the $99 fee covers use by immediate family members permanently residing at the same address. Significant discounts may apply if subscribers are home schooling as part of a larger network or organization. Subscribers can contact an account manager directly if they prefer not to order online.
