SAS, Mainline partner to drive mid-market business intelligence salesMainline becomes newest reseller to join SAS' Channel Partner programSAN FRANCISCO (Mar. 27, 2006) – Continuing to address the growing demand for SAS® business intelligence (BI) software and services, SAS, the leader in business intelligence, today announced that Mainline Information Systems has joined its pilot Channel Partner program to help increase SAS’ BI market penetration. “Having Mainline as a trusted alliance partner is a valuable asset to the SAS direct sales force,” said Miles Mahoney, general manager of the newly created SAS channel business unit. “Mainline has hundreds of field resources across the U.S. that will enable us to extend our reach into untapped opportunities, specifically with small to medium-sized or midmarket businesses (SMB).” Both SAS and Mainline have long-standing relationships with IBM; Mainline is IBM’s premier business partner and IBM is a platinum-level SAS Alliance member. More than 4,000 SAS users from around the world are attending SUGI in San Francisco this week.
