SAS Named Norway's Best Place to WorkOSLO (Mar. 07, 2007) – OSLO: SAS is Norway’s best place to work. The leader in business intelligence won the prestigious award while at the same time delivering strong financial results in Norway. Revenues have increased from NOK 80 million (US$13 million) to nearly NOK 200 million in only four years. The award is based on surveys of company employees. Results from SAS show that:
A good work environment feeds financial growth “Taking care of our employees and creating a good work environment is one of the pillars of our company. Our good work environment has played a critical role in our 30 percent revenue growth in 2006,” says Frank Møllerop, Country Manager for SAS Norway. Møllerop was also nominated in 2006 for the prestigious Rosing award in Norway as IT Leader of the Year. The “Great Place to Work” award is given out in 29 countries all over the world. In the United States, the results are published yearly in FORTUNE magazine. Hard choices and hard work “Our good work environment in Norway is the result of hard choices we have made and hard work conducted over several years. We are proud to receive today’s award, but we are also humble. The work to create a good work environment can never end but must continue every day,” says Møllerop.
