Using SAS to segment its 1.7 million customers for credit card campaigns, Santander Totta has seen conversion rates increase from 4-5 percent to 20-30 percent according to Sergio Vieira, Santander Totta’s Director of Customer Relationship Management. “We’re increasing the success of our campaigns by five or six times,” Vieira said. “We know that the results of a study or model with SAS are the truth, so we can make the right decisions at the right time. With assurance that SAS will predict churn, we can reduce churn by taking action with our customers. In our tests, we reduced churn by 20-25 percent with SAS.” Combined with the know-how of Vieira’s staff, SAS allows Santander Totta to make better-informed decisions more quickly, ultimately reducing costs, enhancing profits and creating a distinct competitive advantage.
