Dear Readers,

SAS 9.4 is available and so is What's New in SAS 9.4 – in HTML, PDF and free e-book options!

I spoke with SAS Senior Technical Writer Marie Dexter about the introduction to SAS' latest release.

"What's New in SAS 9.4 is simpler," Marie said. "It’s shorter and more focused on the big product changes rather than the nitty-gritty details. Customers can quickly find important new features and enhancements in SAS 9.4, and then they can link to more details in the product-specific documentation."

Marie has been writing what's-new documentation for 10 years now – a new book for every SAS release since SAS 9. After 50 projects or more, her enthusiasm for SAS software and SAS users still shines through:

"What's New in SAS 9.4 has been really fun to write. I’ve gotten a big-picture view of what SAS 9.4 is all about – a sense of how SAS software products work together while each one continues to innovate. I hope our customers and readers will get that too!"

Take a look and tell us what you think.
