Dear Readers,

Registration for SAS Global Forum 2014 opened last month. Here at SAS, we're submitting our travel requests and waiting for approvals. In the process, I took a closer look at what the conference has to offer:

  • Conference sessions are organized by job role this year, making it easier to find content that's most relevant for you. Here are just a few of the presentations that will be available in the Programmer/Application Developer track.
  • The conference registration fees include early-bird and team discounts. Day passes were popular at the San Francisco conference, and they're being offered again this year.
  • Conference tutorials, SAS courses and SAS Certification schedules and fees are available online. Make the most of your conference experience by taking advantage of these training opportunities.
  • Check out the intriguing range of credentials for this year's keynote speakers – memory champion, futurist, Gen Y Guy® and statistics whiz! With job titles like these, they're bound to make us think differently about the future of data and statistics.

Have you started making your plans for Washington, DC? When you submit those travel requests, you might want to share the benefits with your manager. I did!
