Dear Readers,

In the January edition of the SAS Business Report, I challenged you to make three New Year’s resolutions, one of which was to effect change. As President Obama enters the second half of his first 100 days in office, he’ll finalize his choices for those who’ll stand beside him through his next four years in office. SAS thought leaders are among industry and world leaders who are hoping to be the voice of change. They’re articulating how they see the new roles. For instance, although the first candidate for US Chief Performance Officer has withdrawn, Gary Cokins writes that the development of this position is a “progressive managerial approach” to governance. And Jim Goodnight has shared his ideas for the future Chief Technology Officer, including his thought that we should expand the role to that of Secretary of Technology - a Cabinet position.

You’re a thought leader, too. Add your suggestions and opinions to these and other blogs. Effect change.
