SAS 9.2 enhancements of interest to academics »
SAS/STAT® 9.2 provides many new statistical techniques of interest to academics. Bayesian methods come to the GENMOD, LIFEREG, and PHREG procedures and flexible Bayesian modeling to experimental MCMC procedure. ODS Statistical Graphics enhance at least 36 SAS/STAT procedures.

The QUANTREG, GLMSELECT, and GLIMMIX procedures now allow statistical modeling capabilities on all platforms, and the survey data analysis procedures now provide variance estimation by balanced repeated replication (BRR) and jackknife methods. SAS Stat Studio (distributed with SAS/IML®) offers data exploration and analysis in a highly flexible programming environment in which you can run SAS/STAT or SAS/IML analyses and display the results with dynamically linked graphics and data tables.
