- SAS® Academic Program brings interdisciplinary connection between marketing and IT to life

The Salzburg University of Applied Sciences and Technologies, which specializes in IT, economics and business management while focusing on innovative and international training, is now partnering with SAS. SAS Enterprise Guide as well as SAS Enterprise Miner expose the students to advanced analytics. University Of New South Wales introduces data management for statistics course
The University of New South Wales (UNSW), School of Mathematics has introduced a new second year undergraduate course that focuses on managing large volumes of data using SAS, Data Management for Statistical Analysis.
Within weeks of the school announcing the course to the students, over 100 enrolment applications were received. According to the School's Associate Professor James Franklin, this high response is a stark indication of the increasing need within the workplace for SAS skills. Read More

SAS marks its first 25 years in Europe
In 1980, organizations were struggling to produce business information with COBOL. Punch cards were still in use and "reporting" meant producing stacks of greenbar paper, which sometimes took hours to print. Even back then, SAS helped customers cut through the numbers to quickly gain useful information, and the slogan SAS used was "SAS Saves Time."
Recently, sascom interviewed three members of the founding staff at SAS International: Art Cooke, President; Allan Russell, Senior Vice President of Strategy; and Ginny Roehner, Manager of Properties and Facilities. Read More
