SAS Increases Standing in FinTech 100 

SAS was recently recognized as the 13th largest firm in the FinTech 100 annual ranking of technology providers to the global financial services industry. The ranking, compiled by American Banker and Financial Insights, an IDC company, was announced at a breakfast briefing and awards ceremony on November 19 as part of the Bank Administration Institute (BAI) Retail Delivery Conference & Expo. SAS was listed as 19th in 2008.

According to the American Banker, the FinTech 100 was developed to provide an evaluation of technology providers to financial services companies worldwide. Firms included in the FinTech 100 list derive at least one-third of their annual revenue from the financial services industry. SAS was cited as being the largest of a group of firms whose financial services business is growing by providing “tools designed to improve analytics, decision-making and risk management.” The top-three FinTech 100 firms are Fiserv, Fidelity Information Services and SunGard. Fair Isaac ranked 19th.
