Brigham and Women's Hospital Receives SAS Customer Award

Brigham and Women's Hospital of Boston received the 2005 SAS Ambassador Award for Healthcare during an executive conference titled "Balancing Healthcare Quality and Costs in a Changing World” at SAS World Headquarters recently.

Accepting the award were Sue Schade, chief information officer, and Troy Tomilonus, manager of decision support, both presenters at the conference.

The Ambassador Award, presented by Dr. Jim Goodnight, SAS chief executive officer, recognizes organizations that have served as outstanding supporters of SAS throughout the year.

Goodnight praised Brigham and Women's contributions to quality healthcare. The hospital is recognized throughout the world for excellence in patient care, medical research and for training outstanding health professionals.

The hospital's leadership is building on its strengths by using SAS Strategic Performance Management for Healthcare to implement and drive balanced scorecard initiatives on both the provider and business sides of the hospital.
