The culture gap holds companies back

Company culture plays a big part in analytical success as a lack of collaboration across an organization can predestine lack luster results.  Collaboration, particularly in the area of data management, is essential in an effective analytics strategy.

According to a recent survey conducted by SAS and Accenture, having access to the required data and collaboration difficulties (these often go hand in hand) are more prevalent among larger organizations – those of $5 billion or more in revenue – than in their smaller counterparts.  As businesses increase in size, their data becomes more dispersed, silos are more likely to form and access and collaboration become more difficult.
