The SAS Consulting Academy offers a 12-week Technology Consultant Program designed to prepare you for a career as a consultant. Upon completion of the program, you will work as a consultant on large-scale software implementations. The projects you support will give you experiences that span various business sectors and technologies. The Technology Consultant program will equip you with knowledge and skills that will allow you to deliver projects with success.

Individuals hired to join SAS as a consultant will complete 12 weeks of training at SAS’ world headquarters in Cary, NC. The Technology Consultant Program is designed to immerse participants in core SAS technologies. Topics include SAS programming, data integration, business intelligence, architecture, and consulting business fundamentals. At the conclusion of the program, participants will have an opportunity to achieve SAS certification.

Requirements of a SAS Technology Consultant include academic experience with (n) tiered architecture, database concepts, database management, and data warehousing, and programming skills in C, Java or a third or fourth generation language.

Relevant degrees include computer science, computer engineering, and computer information systems.
