Dear SAS® Curriculum Pathways® Educators:

Spring brings exciting news to our family of users. In this newsletter, you’ll learn about updates and other features to help make the best use of our award-winning resources.

One of the hot books in education circles this year is Disrupting Class, by Clayton Christensen. He contends that introducing technology in various industries often has a disruptive – yet ultimately positive – impact for consumers. Toyota and Honda “disrupted” the way traditional US car builders did business. Napster and iTunes forever changed the music industry. Yet despite the examples of how technology can enhance our lives, the education industry has been slow to embrace it as a way to transform how we run our schools and deliver instruction.

As I read Christensen’s book, I thought of the many ways that SAS Curriculum Pathways can help teachers use technology to engage students, promote critical thinking and inspire curiosity. Whether you are skilled at using digital content or new to teaching with technology tools, we have much to offer you and your students. Our standards-based lessons, tools and InterActivities are easy to navigate and implement in the classroom, out of class, and in online learning environments.

Thank you for choosing SAS Curriculum Pathways and for making education exciting and fun for our students.

Bruce Friend
Director, SAS Curriculum Pathways
