Greetings
Curriculum Pathways® Users:

While the traditional school year may be winding down, we are gearing up for a successful 2008-2009. We look forward to providing you with more high-quality online resources that will engage students, inspire critical thinking and make learning fun.

The new school year will also bring us a new name. SAS inSchool® Curriculum Pathways® will now be known as SAS® Curriculum Pathways®. Additional details appear in this newsletter. Although our name is new, rest assured that our commitment to the learning needs of you and your students remains the same.

Our highest priorities for the new school year are supporting customers and enabling them to maximize product usage. We’ve developed a number of strategies to help us achieve these goals:

  • Establishing a SAS Curriculum Pathways Model Schools Program to identify exemplars of outstanding implementation.
  • Offering biweekly Web demos on SAS Curriculum Pathways.
  • Establishing a monthly Web seminar series to clarify best practices and examine SAS Curriculum Pathways resources in greater detail.
  • Creating an online users forum so you can easily share your thoughts, ideas and best practices with other SAS Curriculum Pathways users from around the country.
  • Offering professional development services that better prepare you to use our resources and provide in-service credit toward your career goals.

These are just a few of the exciting activities we have planned for the coming year. I encourage you to read through the accompanying newsletter articles to learn more about what we can offer and how you and your students can get the most from SAS Curriculum Pathways.

Sincerely,

Bruce Friend
Director – SAS Curriculum Pathways

Ready for 2008-2009?
On July 30, we’ll be shortening our name to SAS® Curriculum Pathways® (leaving off "inSchool"), but we’ll be adding a wealth of new materials, all designed to engage those learners who sometimes struggle with fundamental concepts and skills. Be sure you’re ready to take advantage of these new materials:

  • Log in and click System Check to verify that you have the latest version of Adobe’s Flash Player.
  • Add sascurriculumpathways.com to your list of trusted sites.

Web Demos
To support our community of SAS Curriculum Pathways educators, we're now offering both on-demand and live Web seminars. In addition to bimonthly product overviews, we're also focusing on integration strategies and discipline-specific best practices. And this August, we’ll begin our monthly Spotlight Series, featuring in-depth examinations of content and instructional strategies.

Register online for a May or June Web demo.

CODiE Awards
SAS Curriculum Pathways is a finalist in three categories for the 23rd Annual CODiE Awards.

  • Best Mathematics Instructional Solution.
  • Best Reading/English Instructional Solution.
  • Best K-12 Instructional Solution.
CODiE combines the word "CODE" with the symbol for information ("i") to emphasize a focus on the software and digital content industries. These peer-recognition awards celebrate both achievement and vision.

From the Field
"It's hard to spark the students' interest these days, but any time we go to the computer lab to work on Curriculum Pathways, it's as if their mood changes. They become excited and interested ..."
