SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Guide Benefits: Quickly access the analytic power of SAS by using a point-and-click graphical user interface. A process flow diagram facility lets you organize, view and maintain projects visually. Perform analytics in less time. Many reporting, graphical and analytical abilities - including forecasting, correlations and predictive models – can be accomplished through the point-and-click interface. Programming time is significantly reduced because task code is generated automatically. Create charts, graphs and reports for class exercises or homework. Output can be generated in HTML, Adobe PDF and more. Available for use on: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Windows Vista Home - Basic, or Microsoft Windows Vista Home – Premium. Macintonsh operating systems are not supported. Beginning in early 2009, an international release (English only) will also be available. SAS® OnDemand for Academics: Enterprise Miner (Early Adopter) Benefits: Develop models using an organized, logical point-and-click interface. A process-flow diagram approach that streamlines teaching and learning model development. Gain superior analytical knowledge using decision trees, bagging and boosting, neural networks, memory-based reasoning, hierarchical clustering, linear and logistic regression, associations, sequence and Web path analysis, and more. Use a sophisticated set of data preparation, summarization and exploration tools to interactively analyze data. Data preparation wizards such as the interactive binning tool offer numerous data transformation options. Merging data files, addressing missing values, clustering, dropping variables and filtering for outliers can all be performed easily. Gauge model effectiveness by comparing the results of different modeling techniques. Available for use on: Any system that supports the Sun Microsystems Java Runtime Environment (JRE). Typically, this includes Unix, Linux, and various Microsoft Windows operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Vista. Macintonsh operating systems are not supported. SAS® OnDemand for Academics: JMP Benefits: Easy to learn on either Macintosh or Windows platforms. A point-and-click interface selects the appropriate analysis based on the data type and number of variables you select. Generate a corresponding graph for every analysis. Statistics display in the same window as the graph and “hover help” enables you to interpret the statistics. Use interactive data and graphs. You can click on points in a graph to highlight the data on the data table, and vice versa. Hit the ground running. The JMP Starter outlines the analyses and now includes helpful SAS programming tools. Available for use on: Microsoft Windows XP (with Service Pack 2), Microsoft Windows Vista (excluding Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic), or Macintosh OS X 10.5 or higher. Pricing For Professors: The offerings are free for professors who adopt them for teaching purposes in their courses. For Students: Students will be charged per course and will be able to select, download and install the appropriate client for each course. The offering is US$59.99 and can be paid by credit card.
