  • Overcoming Decision Deficit Disorder
    Expert: Thomas H. Davenport, President's Distinguished Professor of Information Technology and Management at Babson College

    Davenport describes the results from his most recent research study on the new landscape of decision making. He argues that recent decision failures mean that organizations need to systematically examine their approaches to decision processes. Davenport describes new decision alternatives such as the wisdom of crowds, findings from neuroscience and behavioral economics - and how the new approaches fit with more traditional ones based on analytics and intuition. He also details the findings from interviews with more than 50 companies about how they have improved particular decision processes.
  • Maximizing the Value of Business Analytics: What Works and What Doesn’t
    Expert: Thornton May, Futurist, Executive Director and Dean of the IT Leadership Academy

    May will guide you through an animated and very interactive examination of where we have been, where we are and where we need to be structurally to maximize the value of business analytics.
