Leveraging Assets Through an ERP Implementation
In this session, Jason Gautereaux will discuss Sport Chalet’s recent implementation of SAP and how it leveraged SAS for the implementation. Learn how SAS is being used to support the company’s merchandising decisions.

About The Speaker
Ted Jackson is responsible for the strategic vision and tactical support of technology supporting the continued growth of Sport Chalet, Inc. Over the past 36 years, Jackson has worked for a variety of retailers from startups to large international companies, including Safeway Stores Inc., Fred Meyer Stores, Junior’s Tools (startup specialty store), and Sport Chalet Inc.

In addition, he has worked with retailers as a consultant with KPMG Peat Marwick LLP, and with Walker Interactive Systems (based in San Francisco) in software/services sales.

In his role, Jason Gautereaux is responsible for all aspects of the company’s inventory management, including the merchandise/store planning, allocation, replenishment and EDI. He is an 18-year veteran of Sport Chalet, joining as a part-time sales associate in the SCUBA department in 1990. Since that time Gautereaux has held positions in store management, and was responsible for building Sport Chalet’s inventory management department and the implementation of its first replenishment system (E3).

Currently he serves as the Merchandising Project Manager for the implementation of the company’s new ERP system, SAP, and is part of many committees at Sport Chalet, including executive, strategic planning, IT, Sarbanes-Oxley and supply chain.
