Ian Ayres
Author of Super Crunchers
Ian Ayres is a preeminent expert on new methods of prediction and decision making that are changing not only the way decisions are made, but the decisions themselves. He calls it Super Crunching – analyzing massive databases to affect real-world decisions.
He describes this revolutionary trend in his new book, Super Crunchers: Why Thinking-by-Numbers is the New Way to Be Smart. He speaks about:

Ayres has a special gift for applying common sense to problems in business, economics, public policy and everyday issues that affect us all. He is the William K. Townsend Professor at Yale Law School and a Professor at Yale School of Management.
He is a columnist for Forbes, a regular commentator on public radio’s Marketplace, and an op-ed writer for The New York Times. His research has been featured on Prime Time Live, Oprah and Good Morning America and in Time and Vogue.
Ayres has been ranked as one of the most prolific and most-cited law professors of his generation.

Since he co-founded SAS in 1976, Jim Goodnight has served as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. A worldwide leader in enterprise intelligence solutions and services, SAS has more than 10,000 employees in 53 countries. In 2007, the company’s revenue was $2.1 billion, its 32nd consecutive year of growth and profitability.
In 2004, Harvard Business School named him as one of the "20th Century’s Great American Business Leaders," citing his impact on "the way people have lived, worked and interacted in the 20th century." Jim has a PhD in statistics and speaks internationally on leadership, education and innovation.

Jonathan Hornby

Jonathan Hornby is a visionary and thought leader in the field of performance management.
His experience comes from a hands-on background within the UK banking sector, followed by extensive travel, dialogue and collaboration with customers, management consultants and respected thought leaders in academia across the world.
Hornby led the design and introduction of SAS® Strategic Performance Management – a solution that supports the balanced scorecard – and was responsible for the acquisition of ABC Technologies in 2002 for improved profitability analysis. Between 2005 and 2007, he led both strategy and product management of SAS' risk solutions, which enabled a deeper understanding of how behavior, culture and communication influence strategic outcomes.
Hornby is a regular speaker at international conferences and delivers lectures on performance management at the University of North Carolina and North Carolina State University.

Tom Mazich
Vice President of US Federal Government

Tom Mazich manages the sales and fosters the development and deployment of SAS software through the US federal government and aerospace industry. Mazich oversees SAS' commitment to help government and aerospace organizations use enterprise business intelligence and analytics software to better serve their constituents and customers and improve their management of finances, supply chains and operations.
Formerly the Vice President of Symantec Public Sector, he oversaw the company's sales of products and services to government agencies at the federal, state and local levels in North America.
Prior to Symantec, Mazich managed sales for computer services firm Comdisco’s $300 million enterprise solutions group, served as Vice President of Sales at Inference Corporation, and worked in the Boeing Company's computing systems division.
Mazich earned a degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
