SAS has secured a block of rooms at Caesars Palace at the rate of $221/night plus taxes. These rooms are in the newly renovated Augustus, Palace and Forum Towers. This rate is based on availability and subject to change without notice. A second block of rooms exists for government employees. The rate is $112/night plus taxes. Any reservation request received after Sep 21 will be accepted on a "space available" basis and will be charged at the prevailing hotel rates.

To receive these rates, you must reserve your hotel room online. Note: The check-in time at Caesars Palace is 3:00pm Monday-Thursday and 5:00pm Friday-Sunday. Check-out time is at 11:00.

Car rentals

Car rental companies are located in the center of the baggage claim area at the airport. All cars are located outside of the terminal area and every rental agency provides their own airport courtesy shuttle to transport customers to/from their lots.

Taxi cabs

Taxi cabs are available outside on the east side of baggage claim, outside door exits 1 through 4. Airport personnel are available on the taxi curb to assist you. Please keep in mind taxis will not accept credit card payments. There is a $1.80 charge on all fare originating from the airport. The maximum number of passengers allowed in any taxi is five (5) including infants and children.

Shuttle/Limousine

Several shuttle and limousine services are located outside on the west side of baggage claim, exits 7 through 13. Please note that there are both group shuttles and for-hire stretch limousine services. Below is a list of shuttles at the airport:

Weather

The Las Vegas climate is warm in October, with an average low of 60 degrees and average high of 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Be sure to bring a jacket or sweater as temperatures inside the meeting rooms can be considerably cooler.

Other items of note

  • Recording devices, including video and audio, are not permitted in conference sessions or training classes.
  • For security reasons, SAS does not allow access to the internet or to e-mail from classroom computers. The Internet Pavilion will be available throughout the conference for your personal use.
  • Attendees are not allowed to have children or guests accompany them in the conference or training.
  • Room temperatures do fluctuate. Please bring a light jacket or sweater to ensure your comfort level.
  • Conference attire is business casual

Smoking Policy

Smoking is prohibited in all conference and training rooms located in the Conference Center. Smoking areas are conveniently located throughout the hotel and casino areas and in designated areas.
