This course is for experienced data miners and predictive modelers who want to extend the functionality of SAS Enterprise Miner in SAS 9.
Course Description
This course teaches you how to extend SAS Enterprise Miner by developing custom nodes that incorporate other SAS procedures. You learn customized exploratory methods and how to use the results of exploration to modify metadata. You learn how to construct a model node that derives model coefficients using training data, constructs score code, and scores validation, test, and score data using score code. You learn how to create assessment data for predictive models. Syntax for the SAS Enterprise Miner XML specification is included, along with detailed information on SAS macros included with Enterprise Miner for custom node development.
Prerequisites
Before attending this course, you should have
- experience using SAS Enterprise Miner. You can gain this knowledge from the Predictive Modeling Using SAS Enterprise Miner 5.1 course.
- SAS programming skills at the intermediate or advanced level. You can acquire these skills from the SAS Programming II: Manipulating Data with the DATA Step course.
- knowledge of SAS macro programming. You can gain this knowledge from the ¯ course.
Knowledge of XML and JAVA is a plus but is not essential.
