David GhanDavid Ghan worked for the SAS Canada Toronto office as an instructor for more than six years before moving to Cary headquarters. He studied biology at McGill University in Montreal and at the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia.






Bill Powers
, Western Region Education Director in the San Francisco Regional Office, has a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Richmond and master’s and doctoral degrees in statistics from the University of Connecticut. Formerly a professor at the University of North Carolina Greensboro, Powers joined SAS in 1985. He has used SAS software since 1976 and holds an Advanced SAS Professional V9 certification. Powers is a SAS Certified Professional V6, Professional V8 and Professional Application Development V6.

Bruce ReedBruce Reed, Technical Training Specialist, Denver Regional Office, has a Ph.D. in fisheries from Auburn University. Bruce began teaching in 1983 and has used SAS software since 1981. He started providing technical services and training for SAS Institute in 1996.






Kari Richardson SAS Education Instructor Kari Richardson has master's degrees in mathematics and statistics, a master’s degree in business administration with an accounting concentration, and a bachelor's degree in mathematics with a computer programming minor. Richardson, who teaches all of the SAS® Intelligence Platform applications courses, is also a seasoned instructor; she has taught SAS courses for more than 12 years and has been using SAS since 1982.



Mark StranieriMark Stranieri, Regional Education Director in the Rockville Regional Office, has a bachelor's degree in forestry from North Carolina State University. He has used SAS software since 1986. He began teaching in 1991 and joined SAS as an instructor in 1991.







Chip Wells Chip Wells, Statistical Services Specialist, has a Ph.D. in Economics from North Carolina State University. He started with SAS in 2006 and has been using SAS software since the 1980’s.







Terry WoodfieldTerry Woodfield is a Statistical Services Specialist in the Education Division of SAS and served as co-chair for M2003, SAS' sixth annual data mining conference. Woodfield has more than 28 years of SAS programming experience and has provided training mentoring services in the areas of statistical forecasting, predictive modeling and data mining. At SAS, Woodfield has developed courses in statistical forecasting, Web mining and text mining. He is also active in the statistics profession, presenting papers at numerous statistical conferences and professional meetings. Woodfield has helped develop forecasting and predictive modeling solutions for insurance and energy and retail companies, and he has been an expert witness in utility rate-making hearings. Before joining SAS, Woodfield was the Chief Statistician at HNC Software. Other prior experience includes statistical software development in SAS/ETS® Research and Development and university teaching and research.

Aimen ZeidAiman Zeid is the lead developer of SAS’ global Business Intelligence Competency Center program and services. He has 24 years of experience in information management, technical implementation of business intelligence and performance management solutions, and management consulting.

Zeid also contributed to the development of the SAS® Information Evolution Model (IEM) Assessment methodology and services. Using the IEM as a benchmark, Zeid has helped customers assess the effectiveness and readiness of their current information management practices, human capital resources, processes and culture. He has also guided customers in developing and implementing a plan to maximize the business value of their technology investments, including how to develop a BICC for achieving their objectives.
