CFOs are often described as today's corporate
"superheroes" – dealing
with tactical issues one minute, long-term strategy the next, and always
expected to have the right answer. A flattering description perhaps,
but since you can't depend on supernatural powers to get it all done,
how do you effectively manage these daily challenges and emerge as a
strategic leader in your organization?
SAS and Business Finance have come together to bring you the
on-demand Webcast, Requirements of a 21st Century CFO,
designed to show finance executives not only how to manage day-to-day
financial activities, but how to implement long-term fiscal strategy
while also keeping abreast of emerging issues.
The panel discussion will feature leading influencers, including Blythe
McGarvie, president of Leadership for International Finance
LLC; Frank Galioto, a principal at Booz Allen Hamilton
Inc. who specializes in organizational transformation, finance and corporate
headquarters effectiveness, corporate planning, and performance management;
and Kevin Thompson, senior
vice president and chief financial officer at SAS. As they discuss
the leadership challenges finance executives face today, the emphasis
will be not only on how to respond to these challenges, but how to capitalize
on them for even greater success.
Learn from our panelists as they share their real-world experiences
and discuss practical ways to:
- Provide financial expertise – and judgment – on a full range of
short- and long-term strategies.
- Lead efforts to build maximum business performance – by increasing
revenue, reducing costs, improving margins and eliminating redundancies – that
is aligned with strategy.
- Become a valued adviser to the CEO, senior management and board of
directors.
- Get the right expertise in each function (tax, treasury, audit, etc.)
to develop people and build an integrated, seamless financial team.
- Align IT with essential business processes.
- Adopt and implement policies, procedures and internal controls that
ensure financial integrity and reliability.
- Build relationships and strengthen confidence and trust.
