The Umstead Spa

Attendees who choose to not play golf can instead opt to relax during a visit to The Umstead Spa, a luxurious setting that is a member of the Leading Spas of the World. You will have the option to choose from two different spa packages, which are available on a limited, first come, first served basis. If you indicate the spa as a preference on your registration form, a member of our events team will contact you to coordinate your individual spa package.

Spa package options:

  1. Massage and Facial
    • The Umstead Spa Customized Massage
After a brief conversation concerning your needs, your therapist can help guide you into choosing a modality that is best suited for you. Modalities that may be used are:
      • Swedish: A combination of long, firm strokes, kneading strokes and small circles.
      • Reflexology: A pressure-point massage of the feet and hands corresponding to internal organs of the body. Blocked energy channels can be detected, and energy flow can be restored.
      • Stone Therapy: The use of warm basalt stones to help relax, warm, loosen and manipulate tight muscles. (Note: This massage uses the stones only as an aid to the massage. It is not the same as the “Rock-On” Massage, which uses stones throughout the massage.)
    • The Umstead Customized Peel
This peel lifts away dead surface cells and increases skin cell activity, thus revealing a more uniform complexion and softer, smoother skin. Your esthetician will select the appropriate peel for your skin: Glycolic, Salicylic or Enzyme Pumpkin and White Tea.

  2. Massage and Pedicure
